FHC China 2010, the 14th International exhibition for food, drink, hospitality foodservice, bakery and retail industries will move earlier by one day to benefit from new show opening days of Wednesday 10th to Friday 12th November 2010. The original dates announced for FHC China 2010 of Thursday to Saturday were not ideal given the strict trade visitor audience of this fair. However, this change of date has now been made possible by the confirmation of new halls opening at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in time for the show.
“This is great news for our exhibitors and visitors” commented Brendan Jennings General Manager of show organiser China International Exhibitions. “Our many international clients and local distributors always recommend against a Saturday opening for shows in Shanghai. However, due to high demand for exhibition halls, sometimes we have no choice. We welcome the news received today that we can now use new halls in the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) and move our opening times one day earlier.
The new halls made available to FHC China 2010 are East Halls 7, 6 and 5 and access will be via the new East visitor lobby adjacent to hall East 7. “This move gives us exclusive use of the East Visitor lobby,” commented Mr. Jennings. In previous years FHC has had to share the visitor lobby with other unrelated industry shows, creating confusion for some visitors. Stand sizes and positions of exhibitors, relative to the hall visitor entrance will remain unchanged. Fortunately the size and configuration of all halls at SNIEC are the same.
Shanghai World Expo 2010 has given a further boost to demand for space at FHC China 2010. Over 70 million visitors are anticipated to visit the 6-month expo, with hotels and restaurants reporting brisk trade. Currently bookings for FHC China 2010 exceed 2009 levels by 17%. National and regional pavilions are confirmed and planned from 24 trade promotion organisations to-date. The largest groups attending from Italy, Taiwan region, Spain, Japan, Korea, France and USA.
